SOUTHBANK PARODY POSTERS

 

These posters were designed as a part of a project in which we were asked to look at specific areas of London. I was drawn to the posters and their continuity with fonts and colours that are used to advertise the events occurring around the Southbank area.

 

I created this chronological series of posters to advertise events that links to the history of the London area. The idea was for passers by to assume by the traditional Southbank colours and fonts that they are regular posters but when actually analysing the text and image realising what they’re communicating.
